Dr. Virginia Aragon Sanabria received her PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Penn State University in 2018. During her doctoral training with Dr. Cheng Dong, she developed the proof-of-concept for a T-cell mediated drug targeted delivery system for patients with glioblastoma using polymeric nanoparticles. Previously, Dr. Aragon held the Research Associate position in the lab of Dr. Cynthia Rosenthal in the Biochemistry Department at Georgetown University. There she used molecular techniques to investigate the metabolic role of inorganic polyphosphates in mammalian cells. Currently, she is a postdoctoral Research Fellow in the lab of Dr. Michelle Bradbury. Her current work centers on the immunomodulatory effects of FDA-approved Cornell dots on the tumor microenvironment.
