To support its research activities, the Center for Stem Cell Cell Biology (CSCB) has developed strong relationships with several core facilities and translational labs.

Core Facilities

Memorial-Sloan Kettering supports 36 core facilities to facilitate its programs of research. The CSCB is closely involved with the following:

Stem Cell Research Facility

Ting Zhou, PhD, Director

The Sloan Kettering Institute stem cell research facility was initially established with support from the Starr Foundation funded Tri-Institutional Stem Cell Initiative. The facility is also support by NYSTEM through a shared resource facility grant.

Molecular Cytology

Katia Manova, PhD

Translational Labs

The CSCB also collaborates closely with the Center for Cell Engineering. The Center for Cell Engineering, with support from the Cell Therapy and Cell Engineering Facility, focuses on the translation of stem cell approaches into cell therapies.

Center for Cell Engineering

Michel Sadelain, MD, PhD, Director

Cell Therapy and Cell Engineering Facility

Isabelle Rivière, PhD, Director

Tri-Institutional Stem Cell Initiative

Additional stem cell facilities are available through the Tri-Institutional Stem Cell Initiative, a collaborative program of Memorial Sloan Kettering, The Rockefeller University, and Weill Cornell Medical College.

Derivation Core and Experimental Somatic Cell Nuclear Transfer Laboratory (Weill Cornell Medical College)

Zev Rosenwaks, MD, Faculty Supervisor
Shahin Rafii, MD, Faculty Supervisor

This new facility, part of the Tri-Institutional Stem Cell Initiative, is under development and will be at Weill Cornell Medical College.
