Survivorship, Outcomes & Risk Program

Researchers in the Survivorship, Outcomes, and Risk Program are committed to addressing both local and global issues related to cancer care, prevention, and survivorship. Here, surgical oncologist and SOAR investigator Richard Barakat (center) confers with other medical staff.

The Survivorship, Outcomes, and Risk (SOAR) Program brings together Memorial Sloan Kettering scientists who are dedicated to the study of cancer risk, outcomes, and survivorship.

The SOAR program is an integral part of MSK’s mission to discover more-effective strategies to prevent, control, and ultimately cure cancer. SOAR investigators represent a wide variety of methodological disciplines and come from services and departments across the institution.

Through internal and external collaborations, the SOAR program continues to expand its reach, with research activities that address the needs of our patients as well as national and global issues related to cancer care.
