We are seeking a Research Assistant to provide laboratory support for the Massagué Laboratory in the Cancer Biology and Genetics Program. 

In this role the candidate assists laboratory head and members in performing research activities in collaboration with internal/external personnel to move forward science-based projects. Works on laboratory experiments/projects of diverse scope and involving a wide range of technologies. Can work independently with appropriate supervision while making detailed observations, analyzing data and interpreting results according to laboratory procedures. Will design, plan, and develop new methods and technologies for project advancement. Responsible for training and scheduling work of junior lab members; keeps lab head informed of performance/issues. The Research Assistant will maintain a high level of expertise through familiarity with scientific literature. May present in lab meetings and preparation of research papers.

The ideal candidate should have solid lab techniques, some lab management experience, have excellent time-management skills, effective communicator, able to operate effectively in a team setting and eager to take on new opportunities and challenges.

A minimum Education/Experiences: A Bachelors or Masters degree (Biology/Chemistry) with 2-3 years of work experience in a biological laboratory environment.
