Postdoctoral Fellow – Leukemia Group

We are currently seeking a qualified postdoctoral fellow to join the Acute Myeloid Leukemia Group within the Lowe Laboratory. This group has a track-record of success in identifying clinically relevant targets for therapeutics and discovering oncogenic pathways in acute myeloid leukemia and related blood cancers (Recent publications include PMID: 26982726, 25822087, 25499760, 24805236, 24794707, 24065765, 22722845, 22279045, 21828272, 21814200, 21131983).  Current projects focus on understanding and targeting AML with mutations in the p53 tumor suppressor gene, and incorporate sophisticated genetic and genomics approaches, animal models, and human tissue resources to understand how these cancers arise, and to identify and test novel treatment approaches for these leukemias.

Postdocs in the Lowe laboratory benefit from substantial interactions within the group and the broad range of basic, translational, and clinical research programs at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.  Successful candidates should have a recent PhD and/or MD degree, preferably with experience in studying the hematopoietic system and/or the biology and genetics of blood cancer development or maintenance. Proficiency in flow cytometry is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate strong work ethic, critical thinking ability, and excellent organization and communication skills.
