The incidence of breast cancer has risen over the past several years, but at the same time the death rate from the disease has fallen, reflecting more-effective treatment approaches, says Clifford Hudis, Chief of the Breast Cancer Medicine Service at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
