I am a board-certified dermatologist who specializes in dermatologic surgery. My practice is focused on skin cancer surgery and skin reconstruction. I have received fellowship training in Mohs micrographic surgery. Used primarily to treat squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) and basal cell carcinoma (BCC), Mohs surgery allows the surgeon to pinpoint and remove cancerous tissue while conserving healthy skin. I direct a team of highly skilled physician assistants, nurses, patient care technicians, and laboratory staff serving patients who are diagnosed with skin cancers that are treatable with Mohs surgery.
In addition to SCC and BCC, I also provide a variety of surgical treatments for early stage melanoma, atypical nevus, and other rare forms of skin cancers such as dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans, atypical fibroxanthoma, malignant fibrous histiocytoma, sebaceous carcinoma, porocarcinoma, and microcystic adnexal carcinoma.
I collaborate closely with our dermatologists in the institution and colleagues in the community to emphasize the importance of skin cancer prevention and to ensure continuity of skin surveillance for our patients. I am always interested in refining the techniques and services in a dermatologic surgery practice. My goal is to provide high quality and compassionate care to our patients. I also have a PhD degree in pathology. My research interests include wound healing and skin cancer biology.
