Expandable Knee Replacement
The replacement has been lengthened 72.4 mm (2 7/8 in) to keep up with growth in a teenaged boy who was cured of his osteosarcoma. The device was secured in the femur (thighbone) without cement, relying on the boy's own bone to grow into the device.
