Jason S. Lewis, PhD -- Vice Chair for Basic Research, Department of Radiology; Chief, Radiochemistry Service

I am Vice Chair for Research and Chief of the Radiochemistry Service within the Department of Radiology at Memorial Hospital for Cancer and Allied Diseases. I am also a Member in Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and the Director of the Cyclotron-Radiochemistry Core Facility, with a joint appointment in the Molecular Pharmacology and Chemistry Program of the Sloan-Kettering Institute.

My interests include the use of positron-emission tomography (PET) radiopharmaceuticals for the non-invasive imaging of cancer. Our molecular imaging-based program is focused on the targetry of non-standard nuclides as well as the development of small and biomolecule-based agents and their clinical translation. I have authored or co-authored more than 100 peer-reviewed articles, book chapters and reviews. My research is supported by the National Insitutes of Health (NIH), the Department of Education, and philanthropy.

I have served on grant review panels for the NIH/National Cancer Institute, as well as other organizations. I currently serve on the editorial board of the Journal of Nuclear Medicine and Current Radiopharmaceuticals, and I am an associate editor of Cancer Research.
