I am a board-certified neurosurgeon who has completed additional fellowship training in brain tumor surgery. As a member of Memorial Sloan-Kettering’s Brain Tumor Center, I provide care for patients with primary brain tumors (such as glioblastomas and astrocytomas), tumors that line the skull (meningiomas), and tumors that have spread to the brain from other parts of the body (brain metastases).
I also specialize in “mapping” of the brain during surgery to identify vital areas that control language, movement, and memory. Such mapping allows surgeons to remove tumors more precisely while sparing as much tissue as possible near these highly functional areas of the brain.
