The Evelyn H. Lauder Breast Center and the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center Imaging Center
The lobby of the Evelyn H. Lauder Breast Center and the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Imaging Center is flooded with natural light and graced with original artwork. It offers patients, their families, and friends the opportunity to relax in a serene setting that eases the treatment experience.
Patient waiting rooms are separated from public reception areas, affording patients an added degree of privacy. Session assistants (one is pictured above, in the blue jacket) escort patients to and from their appointments in the breast and imaging center.
Nine digital mammography units allow breast center staff to screen approximately 85 patients a day.
Twenty private treatment suites are large enough to allow patients to have consultations with nutritionists and other breast center healthcare professionals while receiving chemotherapy, and can also accommodate family members and friends.
The breast center addresses the needs of the entire patient with services that include art therapy.
