Clinical trials are research studies that evaluate the safety and effectiveness of new therapies and diagnostic tools, including surgical techniques, chemotherapy drugs, radiation therapy techniques, and vaccines. Clinical trials can also help us compare the effectiveness of prevention strategies or other aspects of your care. If you are eligible to participate in a clinical trial, you may have access to new melanoma therapies that are not yet widely available.
