One of the most exciting days of the year at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center’s Department of Pediatrics is Spring Prom. Patients, family members, friends, and staff join together to celebrate. Thanks to the generosity of the members and friends of The Children’s and Associates Committees of The Society of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, anticipation, glitter, cameras, gowns, music, and magic come together in a spectacular and unforgettable event.
As at every great prom, the Pediatrics Spring Prom crowns its kings and queens, made up of both patients and staff members, though every participant gets treated like royalty.
Dancing to music spun by a DJ, the event includes all the usual prom trappings, including thrones for the kings and queens, balloons galore, and banquet tables loaded with food.
