Basic and Translational Immunology Grants

The Ludwig Center at MSK is building on transformative advances in the field of cancer immunology and immunotherapy, which have come from basic immunology research as well as innovative translational studies.

The goal of this internal funding initiative is to stimulate and facilitate innovative research efforts to discover fundamental mechanisms operating within the immune system and to harness this new knowledge for the development of novel means of cancer treatment.

Lloyd J. Old Immunology Student Fellowship

This fellowship is available for graduate students of the Sloan Kettering Institute Immunology Program. The gift was given in memory of Lloyd J. Old, pioneer in cancer immunotherapy at MSK and the “Father of Modern Tumor Immunology.” The fellowship will provide full stipend support for one student for two years.
