Current Research Interests

Dr. Qin’s research focuses on statistical methods for genomics data in the context of translational cancer research. She is the recipient of an NIH R01 grant to develop efficient statistical methods for normalizing microRNA microarrays. Dr. Qin collaborates closely with the soft tissue sarcoma group on the analysis of clinical and genomic data, as well as the design of clinical trials with a phase II emphasis. She is the Co-Director of the Biostatistics and Bioinformatics Core in the Soft Tissue Sarcoma SPORE.
