The Stewart Shuman Lab

The Stewart Shuman Lab

This laboratory is taking a biochemical approach to four problems in nucleic acid metabolism: the coordination of eukaryotic mRNA synthesis and processing, the structure and function of eukaryotic type I DNA topoisomerases, DNA damage recognition and repair by DNA ligases, and the mechanisms and biological roles of RNA repair enzymes.
