I am a multidisciplinary scientist with a strong background in biomaterials and drug delivery systems.
During my integrated M.S./Ph.D. program in Biological Sciences at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), I investigated a range of drug delivery systems and biomaterials, with a particular focus on developing glycocalyx-mimicking nanoparticles by leveraging the combinatorial effects of monosaccharides. This work contributed to the establishment of novel organ-targeted therapeutic strategies.
Currently, in the Cancer Nanomedicine Lab, I am developing a library of drug-loaded nanoparticles formulated with peptide-based excipients. My research aims to establish targeted treatment strategies for patients with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma co-occurring with type 2 diabetes, a condition marked by complex pathophysiological interactions.
