I received my bachelor’s degree from Bilkent University, in Turkey, and my PhD in cell and developmental biology from Harvard University, where I worked on cellular signaling crosstalk between PI3K-AKT and ERK-MAPK pathways. I am now applying my signaling expertise to understanding how disseminated tumor cells grow into life-threatening metastases. My specific focus is on studying mechanochemical signal transduction. In addition to science, Marie Kondo and Rajon Rondo bring me joy.
