Katina Singh is a Research Assistant at IDMS. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Medicine, Health, and Society from Stony Brook University. Upon her introduction to pancreatic research at Stony Brook Medicine, Katina has since been chasing similar opportunities that directly impact clinical treatments. In her three years at IDMS, she validated and helped develop novel functional cell assays, performed high-throughput biomarker analysis using the Olink platform and evaluated therapeutic drug uptake in retrospective patient studies. She is currently pursuing her Masters in Epidemiology/ Biostatistics at the CUNY School of Public Health and Health Policy, seeking to meld her interest in immunology and epidemiology to understand the differential expression of disease across populations worldwide.
