My clinical interests include the management of infectious complications from cancer and its treatment. I have extensive experience treating fever/neutropenia, lymphedema-related cellulitis, recurrent Clostridium difficile infection, surgical infections and abscesses, bone/joint infections, and hardware and recurrent urinary tract infections, among other conditions.

Tengo amplia experiencia en el tratamiento de fiebre y neutropenia, celulitis relacionada con linfedemas, infección recurrente por clostridium difficile, infecciones y abscesos quirúrgicos, infecciones óseas y articulares, infecciones recurrentes por elementos metálicos y de las vías urinarias, entre otras afecciones. 

As a hospitalist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, I manage care for people with different types of cancers admitted to the hospital for acute medical conditions. These can include infections, heart failure, kidney failure, chemotherapy side effects, and cancer-related emergencies.

Dr. Scheinberg is a physician-scientist who specializes in the care of patients with leukemia and is also investigating new therapeutic approaches to cancer, both in the clinic and in the laboratory. His research is focused on discovering and developing novel, specific immunotherapeutic agents. These include monoclonal antibodies that target the cell surface of cancers, targeted radiopharmaceuticals that deliver radioactive particles including alpha particles or alpha particle nanogenerators, targeted nanodevices that selectively kill cancer cells, and therapeutic vaccines that target the oncogene products that cause the cancers.

I am a board-certified medical oncologist whose clinical practice is dedicated exclusively to the care of patients with all stages of breast cancer. I am part of a large, multidisciplinary team of devoted specialists who share my goal of providing exceptional care to patients fighting breast cancer. Through my research activities, I work to develop new therapeutic options for the treatment of breast cancer and to ultimately eradicate this disease.

Formo parte de un gran equipo multidisciplinario de especialistas comprometidos que comparten mi objetivo de brindar una atención excepcional a los pacientes que luchan contra el cáncer de mama. A través de mis actividades de investigación, trabajo para desarrollar nuevas opciones terapéuticas para el tratamiento del cáncer de mama y, en última instancia, erradicar esta enfermedad.

I am a radiation oncologist and medical oncologist who specializes in the treatment of genitourinary cancers, including bladder and prostate cancer. I focus on the integration of medical therapies with radiation to personalize treatment for patients who may benefit from both treatments. I have a clinical and research focus on organ-preservation for patients with prostate and bladder cancer, with the goal of improving outcomes and reducing the side-effects of treatment.
