Molecular Pathogenesis of M. tuberculosis infection

We study the molecular mechanisms by which M. tuberculosis and related mycobacteria survive within the host. These studies are largely oriented around how mycobacteria sense, neutralize, and compensate for the diverse chemical stresses imposed by the host environment.
