Teresa Alfau Hernandez, MD is a Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Fellow with clinical interests in hematologic malignancies, including high-risk leukemias and Hodgkin lymphoma, as well as hematopoietic stem cell transplantation and cellular therapies. Her research focuses on cytokine responses following stem cell transplantation and their relationship to graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) and response to post-transplant vaccination. She is also interested in optimizing transplant outcomes through pharmacokinetic modeling of cyclophosphamide, with the goal of improving immune reconstitution and ultimately reducing post-transplant complications.
