Corina is from Spain, where she studied Medicine at Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Currently she is pursuing her PhD at the Gerstner Sloan Kettering Graduate School in the Lowe lab at MSKCC. Her work has focused on developing the first senolytic CAR T cells as well as new mouse models of gastrointestinal malignancies. Her long-term interest focuses on understanding the mechanisms of senescence immune surveillance in aging and cancer and in developing enhanced senolytic strategies. Corina will be starting her own lab at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory (CSHL) in early 2022.
