Description
Meditation 201: Softening the Heart is a six-week course designed to build upon practices introduced in Meditation 101. Your mind-body teacher will empower you to practice “lovingkindness”, self-compassion, gratitude, and forgiveness. Acting on these attitudes help us to cultivate qualities of mind and heart that reduce stress, build resiliency and flexibility, and empower us to meet challenging situations with greater ease.
Discussions and lessons are led by a mind-body therapist certified in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction™ (MBSR)
Audience
Open to all patients who are receiving treatment at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Caregivers of an MSK patient are welcome to join.
This course is recommended for graduates of our Meditation 101 course offered at MSK. Cancer patients, survivors, caregivers, and staff who have not completed Meditation 101 but have a regular meditation practice of at least 2 months may also enroll.
