Adding dried or fresh herbs to your meals is a great way to reduce salt without losing flavor. This heart-healthy dish gets its name from Montreal spice rub, a blend of garlic, coriander, black pepper, cayenne, and dill.
½ tablespoon Montreal steak seasoning
1 tablespoon dark brown sugar
4 salmon filets (6 ounces each), skin removed
Grapeseed or coconut oil cooking spray
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- In small bowl, combine seasoning and brown sugar. Rub mixture into each salmon filet.
- Lightly coat sheet pan with cooking spray. Place fish on prepared pan and bake until internal temperature reaches 145 degrees using a meat thermometer, about 12 to 15 minutes. Let fish rest 2 minutes before serving.
