Neurosurgery research fellow Nelson Moussazadeh was awarded a research grant by Joseph and Nazee Moinian in memory of Fariborz Nobandegani, a neurosurgeon who was passionate about research and patient care.
This multiyear award will support Dr. Moussazadeh’s investigation into the pathogenesis of CNS metastasis and primary spinal tumors in the laboratory of neurosurgeon Cameron Brennan. Dr. Moussazadeh’s research has also been recognized through the Neurosurgery Research and Education Foundation Fellowship and a grant from the Chordoma Foundation.
