Urgent Care and Inpatient Care for Memorial Sloan Kettering Patients at Hackensack University Medical Center

If you need care right away, Hackensack University Medical Center can help.

Two of New Jersey’s most respected cancer care providers, Memorial Sloan Kettering (MSK) and Hackensack Meridian Health, formed a partnership in 2016 to improve care for the people we serve.

It is now easier for MSK patients to get emergency and inpatient care at Hackensack Meridian Health Hackensack University Medical Center (Hackensack). If you have urgent symptoms that would normally bring you to MSK’s Urgent Care Center, or you need to be admitted to the hospital, you can get care closer to home at Hackensack.

If your MSK provider or nurse directs you to Hackensack, they will call the Medical Center before your arrival to tell the staff there that you are an MSK patient. When you get to the Hackensack emergency room, be sure to tell the admitting staff that you are a patient at MSK.

While at Hackensack, you will be under the care of a dedicated team of cancer specialists. Your MSK care team will share important health information, including details of your condition, which will be needed for your care at Hackensack. Likewise, details of the care you receive at Hackensack will be coordinated with your MSK team.
