Intermediate Tai Chi (series)

Description

Based on a sequence of graceful movements, tai chi is a Chinese self-defense practice and gentle form of exercise. It can help improve coordination and balance, reduce fatigue, regulate breathing, and improve mental function and outlook.  

In this 6-week series, we will focus on the complete Yang style Short Form, building on principles from the fundamentals of tai chi. Additionally, we will introduce theory and more advanced principles. This series is open to all patients and caregivers.  

  • You Will Need: A chair, a small towel, and water to stay hydrated
  • You Must Be Able To: Sit upright, lift arms overhead (no IV lines should be present) 

Audience

This series is open to people who have been treated for cancer and their caregivers.
