Linda Burnley, Associate Dean, Gerstner Sloan Kettering
Gerstner Sloan Kettering is pleased to announce that Linda Burnley will be joining us on July 1 as Associate Dean. Linda comes to us from Harvard University where she served as Executive Director of the Harvard-MIT MD-PhD Program.
In her role as the senior executive director for both basic and social sciences, she worked closely with the faculty directors to carry out the program’s goals and to ensure efficient program administration. Linda managed finance, admissions, and student affairs staff and oversaw daily operations, including communications. She met regularly with students to review their timelines, assist them with external funding applications, and served as liaison with registrars at four different schools.
In addition, she represented the MD-PhD program in conferences and meetings designed to inform underrepresented minority students about combined degree training opportunities at Harvard, as well as prepared them for the application process.
We are delighted to welcome Linda to the Gerstner Sloan Kettering family.
