About your bills
For care received on or before January 31, 2025:
You will get paper statements in the mail, even if you did not get paper statements before. You will get 2 statements: 1 for hospital bills and 1 for physician bills. For example, if you have an X-ray, you will get a hospital bill for the cost of the service. You will also get a physician bill for the doctor who reviews your X-ray.
You will need your paper statement to pay. It will include the amount you owe, your medical record number (MRN), and instructions on how to pay. It will also include the website URL for where to pay your bill. Hospital bills and physician bills each have their own website URL. You won’t have to pay the whole amount at once unless you choose to.
For care received on or after February 1, 2025:
You can use MSK MyChart to view and pay bills.
Requesting your medical records
Here’s how to ask for your medical records:
Records from 2020 to now:
- These are in MSK MyChart. Go to Your Menu, then My Record. There, you’ll see test results, visits, medications, forms, and more.
Records from before 2020:
- These won’t be online after MyMSK shuts down. You can log in to MyMSK (my.mskcc.org) before December 31 to save any messages, notes, forms, or questionnaires you’d like to keep.
To ask for your medical records from any year, you have 3 options:
- In MSK MyChart, go to Your Menu and then Sharing Hub.
- Contact MSK’s Release of Information office at 646-227-2089 or [email protected].
- Complete a Request for Release of Information form and fax it to 212-557-0531 or 646-227-3545.
