I joined Memorial Sloan Kettering in 2012 as a nurse practitioner with the Adult Bone Marrow Transplant Service. I have been working in the field of hematologic malignancies and transplant since 2006, when I started my career as an oncology nurse.

I decided to enter the field of nursing because of my personal experiences within the healthcare system as a type 1 diabetic since early childhood. I now find it extremely rewarding to help others during their periods of illness and recovery.

As a nurse practitioner, I work closely with patients on a daily basis during their hospitalization. This encompasses clinically managing patients throughout the course of their transplant experience. I enjoy the level of personal care I am able to provide to each of the patients I work with, as well as the opportunity to educate patients and teach.

In my free time, I volunteer with several organizations such as the American Diabetes Association, the Wounded Warrior Project, and New York City’s Medical Reserve Corps.
