My passion for science and medicine came at an early age, but it wasn’t until college when I realized I wanted to pursue a PhD. Working in a cancer signaling and immunology lab sparked my interest in understanding how signal transduction pathways are wired in cancer cells that are sensitive or resistant to drugs. My current research focuses on the mechanisms of sensitivity and resistance to B cell receptor pathway inhibition in primary central nervous system lymphoma. 

I chose Gerstner Sloan Kettering for my PhD because of its unique opportunities for translational cancer research. My long-term goal is to be able to use the knowledge discovered in lab to help develop effective therapies for patients.
