As the Vice President of Research and Project Administration at Memorial Sloan Kettering, Annmarie Pacchia oversees five units within the Office of Research and Project Administration (ORPA): Grants and Contracts, Research Fund Management, Research Financial Planning, Clinical Research Finance, and Operations.
Prior to serving as Vice President, Annmarie was the Director of Grants and Contracts in ORPA. Before joining MSK in 2010, Annmarie was a research administrator in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Roswell Park Cancer Institute and a laboratory manager and researcher at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in the Department of Molecular Genetics and Microbiology.
Annmarie received her bachelor’s degree in biology from Drew University, earned a PhD in molecular biology from Rutgers University in 2001, and went on to perform postdoctoral research on the life cycle of HIV and antiviral drug discovery. She also holds a certificate in financial management from the Society of Research Administrators International.
