Director, Entrepreneurship Initiative

Glennis Mehra, PhD, is Director of the Entrepreneurship Initiative (EI) within the Office of Entrepreneurship & Commercialization at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where she leads the development of a venture creation engine to translate oncology innovation into fundable startups and strategic partnerships. She is responsible for building a structured pathway for company formation and cultivating a network of investors and industry experts to support MSK innovators in advancing commercially viable solutions. 

She joined MSK in September 2025 after serving for nearly five years as Managing Director of BioLabs@NYULangone.  At BioLabs, she led one of New York City’s largest life sciences incubators, supporting more than 60 early-stage companies that have collectively raised over 2 Billion in capital and created hundreds of jobs.

Previously, Dr. Mehra co-founded multiple companies and has advised and invested across biotechnology, medtech, and consumer health. She was a Director at SPIRM Consulting Group, where she developed innovation strategies for Fortune 500 companies. Earlier in her career, she co-founded Saf Labs and served as a Technology Licensing Officer at Columbia University’s Science and Technology Ventures, managing the commercialization of more than 30 inventions.

Dr. Mehra earned her PhD in Neurobiology and Behavior from Columbia University, where she was an early innovator in functional genomic discovery and validation tools.
