Janet Mak is the Interim Chief Digital Officer of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK). Mak is responsible for the overall design and execution of the organization’s digital strategy. While she assumed this role on April 1, 2025, Mak has been a member of MSK’s IT community since she joined as an application analyst in 1997.

After joining MSK, Mak took on increasing responsibilities leading high-performing teams to successfully deliver complex IT projects that transformed MSK’s landscape. Most recently, she served as Vice President and Head of Solution Engineering, overseeing several IT teams in supporting MSK’s electronic medical record, clinical and ancillary systems, and their various integrations. Before joining MSK, Mak worked at a healthcare software company building early-generation electronic health records (EHRs).

Mak graduated from Stony Brook University with a degree in Medical Technology and earned an MBA in Management Information Systems from Pace University. She will serve as the Interim Chief Digital Officer until a new Chief Digital Officer is identified.
