Miranda Lewis is an intern in the Office of Entrepreneurship and Commercialization where she supports the Life Sciences Licensing team in evaluating and advancing commercialization opportunities with MSK investigators and external partners. She also supports OEC’s Technology Investment Development Fund.

Miranda earned her PhD in Virology at Baylor College of Medicine in 2024, where her research focused on developing standardized methods to evaluate antiviral activity against norovirus in human stem cell-derived intestinal organoids. During her doctoral training, she was selected for a training grant in Interdisciplinary Pharmacology to broaden her expertise in drug discovery. She subsequently completed postdoctoral training at MSK, studying microbiome-immune interactions in intestinal inflammation models.

Alongside her scientific research, Miranda pursued translational and business-focused experiences through consulting projects and participation in Cornell Life Science Technology Innovation Fellows Program, where she collaborated with MBA students from the Cornell SC Johnson College of Business to explore biotechnology commercialization and startup development.
