I am an Assistant Attending Physicist in the Department of Medical Physics. My research work is focused on the development of novel MRI acquisition and reconstruction methodology using AI techniques to reduce scan time while preserving imaging quality, enabling free-breathing scans with increased image quality for cancer applications, including detection, diagnosis, and treatment response evaluation. I am actively pursuing clinical translation in collaboration with industrial partners.
My prior experience includes developing research projects in medical imaging, image processing, and machine learning in the U.S. and Peru. I was an associate at Harvard University and served as a director on the team that established the Universidad de Ingeniería y Tecnología (UTEC) in Peru.
