The FDA has approved nirogacestat (OgsiveoTM), a targeted therapy for desmoid tumors. A recent phase 3 clinical trial found that the drug significantly shrank desmoid tumors in 41% of patients. Desmoid tumors (also known as aggressive fibromatosis) are a rare type of soft tissue tumor.
… Tuesday, November 28, 2023 Update: On November 27, 2023, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved nirogacestat (Ogsiveo™) for adults with desmoid tumors that cannot be treated with surgery alone. The approval was based on research led by investigators at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
