Welcome to the Skyed Meditation Practice that is meant to accompany or prepare you for when you're receiving chemotherapy or infusion treatments. Starting by looking around, Taking in your surroundings. Is there anything that could make your space more relaxing? Make any changes that seem helpful and settle into a posture or position that would support your body best for the next 15 or so minutes. Taking time to move and shift until you find your body settling. Allowing your gaze to lower, or your eyelids to gently close, and inviting your attention inwards.

Checking in with yourself, noticing the transition and contrast between the activities and interactions of the day, in this moment of relative stillness.

Taking time to notice sensations in the body, thoughts and images in the mind, and any emotions that are making themselves known. Just noticing without judgment and without effort, not even effort to focus or effort to relax. Allowing the present moment to be just what it already is. Even if this moment is less than perfect, even if there are distractions discomfort or stress, taking a moment here to extend care and attention to yourself in the midst of whatever is going on. If that is possible for you in inviting your attention to drop all the way down into the feet, bringing awareness to the weight of your feet and the sensations of contact between your feet and the surface they are resting on.

Noticing what sensations, if any, are present in this moment. Sensations of temperature or a sense of the surrounding materials that are in contact with the skin of your feet. Noticing a sense of contact or pressure between your feet and the supporting surface. Noticing what that contact may feel like. Is there a hardness or softness? Coolness of warmth? Or maybe a sense of vibration?

Noticing your toes and the spaces between your toes. Resting your attention here with the sensations of the feet. When you're ready and allowing your attention to rise and move up to your seat or your buttocks. Noticing sensations of contact here. What does that contact of your seat supported by the chair or the bed feel like? Is there a sense of pressure or warmth. Noticing the consistency of the supporting surface, any softness or hardness, roughness or smoothness.

the support of the chair of the bed. Bringing awareness now to your hands. Noticing their position. Noticing the surface they're resting on. Maybe your hands are resting on your Your abdomen or lap may be there in contact with your chair or bed. Just noticing sensations of contact here. any sense of temperature or moisture. Noticing the weight of your hands. Maybe there is a sensation of the pulse in your hands.

Guiding your attention now all the way up to your lips. Maybe noticing a subtle sense of contact or touch between upper and lower lips. Maybe there is a sense of dryness or moisture. softness or warmth, or maybe, Varen, not many sensations there right now, and that is fine too. Resting your awareness with whatever sensation may be present around your mouth and lips.

Moving attention now to your eyelids. Noticing an even more subtle sense of contact here, as your eyelids are gently resting upon each other, or your lashes are softly brushing against each other. Taking in the soft sense of contact, resting your attention here. Now let us circle awareness through the different contact points. Bringing attention back to the sensation of contact every time your mind is naturally wandering, bringing attention to the contact between the feet and the surface they're resting on. Noticing that quality of contact and whatever sensations may be present.

Moving attention to the Eat, in contact with a chair or bed. Feeling hands in contact with whatever they're resting on. Bringing awareness to the lips in contact with each other.

Noticing eyelids gently touching. Let's move through these contact points as if moving the spotlight of your attention over your body a few more times.

Noticing feet, seat, hands, lips, eyelids, feet, seat, hands, lips, eyelids, allowing you awareness to circle through the contact points at your own pace Or resting your awareness with one sensation that may be most prominent or pleasant for you. For a few moments here in silence.

When you're ready, widening your awareness as if zooming out, bringing attention to the entire body, the entire body resting,

The body has a collection of different sensations. Noticing the dimensions of your body. It's sense of weight. Maybe expanding awareness, even to the space surrounding your body. The layer of air and touch with your exposed skin. The space you're breathing in and out of and that surrounds you from all sides.

Gently aware of body and surrounding space.

You may want to imagine a color gradually filling the space around you. A color that for you represents relaxation, calmness or healing. Take your time as you surround your body with a soothing cloud of this color, encompassing and embracing your entire body. Maybe even imagining breathing in the ceiling soothing color. Until your body is fully infused and surrounded by this color. You may imagine your body radiating this color now, gradually expanding.

filling your room, eventually filling your room and the spaces beyond your room. In the space of your mind, allowing this color to touch and soothe people around you.

Maybe those involved in your care? Are those receiving treatments and facing similar challenges to your worth? Expanding this color to soothe and support yourself and your surroundings where you may be in this moment. Extending and sharing, any support and relaxation you may feel with the people around you.

Taking as much time as you like to focus on what is most pleasant about this practice. Or gradually allowing your eyes to open.
