Hi, my name is Alicia Gould, and I'm a registered dietitian here at Memorial Sloan Kettering. A question that I get asked often from my patients is, what should I do if I'm nauseous?

What I tell them is to have small, frequent meals throughout the day with bland, easy-to-digest foods, such as Saltines and white bread or toast-- this is easy for patients to tolerate and to digest-- also, ginger ale or ginger tea, which eases the stomach, and lastly, anecdotally speaking, lemon-lime Italian ices, which are refreshing and patients can tolerate best. And those are a few of my tips.
