Dr. Imane El Dika tailors care for people with gastrointestinal (GI) cancers at MSK, specializing in liver, bile duct, pancreatic, and colorectal cancers.

I chose to care for cancer patients back in medical school after spending a few months on the oncology floor. The rapid pace of new discoveries in the field, and the strong connections between doctors and patients, were all so inspiring to me.

Hi, I’m Dr. Imane El Dika, a medical oncologist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center who cares for people with gastrointestinal cancers.

I’ll try to learn as much as possible about you, your beliefs and desires, your life before cancer, and who's your support system. Then we’ll draw out a roadmap for your treatment, with a backup plan if we need it.

One of the many great things about MSK is our clinical trial program that gives patients the chance to try novel therapies.

Feeling connected to you and all my patients really matters to me. We all share the same human experience and desire to enjoy life’s precious moments. Cancer does not have to take over your whole existence. I’m here to offer my empathy and expertise to be with you throughout this journey.
