Hi, I’m Dr. Malin Hultcrantz, a myeloma specialist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Growing up with parents who were doctors, I’ve always been interested in medicine, but it became personal for me when someone in my family was diagnosed with lymphoma over 20 years ago.
That experience is what drives me to care for people with multiple myeloma, a cancer that affects the blood and bone marrow. Today, there are so many reasons to be hopeful. The research that we’re doing at MSK has fundamentally changed how we manage this disease.
My work focuses on designing clinical trials with new immunotherapies, sometimes combining them with existing medicines to find the most effective, lasting treatment for you. By coming to MSK, you will have access to the latest breakthroughs as part of your standard care.
When we meet, we’ll go at your pace. If it starts to feel like a lot, we’ll slow down. If you want more details, we'll dive right in. I want you to always leave our visits with a clear sense of where we are and what comes next.
I ran the New York City Marathon for Fred’s Team to raise money for MSK. It was a tough race, but I felt the support of our community to keep going. When you come to MSK, I want you to always feel that same level of support, every step of the way.
