Meet Marc Cohen: Head and Neck Surgeon at MSK

VIDEO | 01:25

Dr. Marc Cohen treats head and neck and skull base tumors at MSK, using precise, minimally invasive surgery to protect nerves, function, and quality of life.

Hi, I’m Dr. Marc Cohen, a head and neck surgeon at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. I care for people who have cancerous and non-cancerous tumors of the head, neck, and base of the skull, as well as certain pituitary and thyroid conditions.

I specialize in complex cases where tumors are located near critical nerves and blood vessels – areas that require exceptional precision and care.

When we meet for the first time, you’ll be introduced to your entire care team here at MSK. We’ll all take the time to listen and get to know you. Then, we’ll discuss your treatment options, so you feel comfortable and confident with the plan.

I know that being newly diagnosed can be overwhelming, especially when treatment involves such delicate areas. My job is to explain every step of the process in as much detail as you want, to give you and your family peace of mind.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my family, hiking, and great music. I’ve even gone to see some of my former patients perform live.

My ultimate goal is that when I see you years down the road, you’re living your best life and we can say cancer was only part of your story, not the whole story.
