If you’ve been diagnosed with lymphoma, you’re likely hearing a lot of unfamiliar terms and facing decisions you didn’t expect to be making.

Hi, I’m Dr. Robert Stuver, a lymphoma specialist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and I will do my very best to help you with all of that.

Lymphoma isn’t one disease. It’s more than 70 different conditions, each with its own biology and treatment approach. My role is to bring clarity to this complexity, to explain your specific subtype, what your options are, and what each path realistically means for you. I want to do all of this with the utmost kindness and care for you and your loved ones as you navigate through this challenging time.

I focus on complex and less common types of lymphoma, including T-cell lymphomas, skin lymphomas, and Hodgkin lymphoma, where the specialized experience my team and I have can make a real difference.

This field is rapidly advancing. New therapies are emerging every year, and at MSK, we’re deeply involved in bringing those advances to patients. You should know that for many aggressive lymphomas, our goal is to eliminate the cancer entirely; and if that isn’t an immediate option, we focus on controlling the disease thoughtfully while staying on top of possibilities for the future.

I know this can all feel so overwhelming. My approach is to help you with compassion and move forward with a plan that’s grounded in experience and built around you.
