Our prostate cancer team is recognized worldwide for its strengths in diagnosing and treating tumors of the prostate. The team includes specialists in medical oncology, radiation oncology, urology, urologic surgery, pathology, and radiology.
For patients who undergo surgery, our surgeons are among the nation’s most experienced in performing prostate operations, and we’re continually working to improve the safety and effectiveness of radical prostatectomy surgery. Our radiation oncology team is one of the most experienced in the world and has broad experience in treating prostate cancer with various types of radiotherapy.
For men with prostate cancer that has spread outside the prostate, our physicians are experts at determining which treatment or combination of treatments will be most effective for you. Our medical oncologists have led the way in the development of many hormonal and systemic therapies for advanced prostate cancer.
Many patients prefer to receive their care closer to home, and for them we have prostate cancer experts based at our regional sites in Long Island, New Jersey, and Westchester County as well as in Manhattan. Our state-of-the-art regional outpatient centers offer diagnostic services, some pre- and post-surgical care, chemotherapy and radiation treatments, and follow-up care.
