Massage and Movement for Lymphatic Flow

The lymphatic system is essential for healthy body functioning. Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) is a type of therapeutic touch that helps support the lymphatic system and is used as part of Lymphedema Therapy. Self-MLD can help extend the benefits of Lymphedema Therapy that you may have received in rehab, a lymphatic therapy clinic, or private practice.

In this live online workshop, an MSK clinical fitness specialist/oncology nurse will teach you exercises and gentle movement to improve posture and strengthen and support the upper back and shoulders. An MSK massage therapist will demonstrate a general self-MLD sequence and guide you through gentle movements that support lymphatic flow.

This class is open to people who have been treated for cancer and their caregivers. You do not need to have a lymphedema diagnosis to perform self-MLD or seek out MLD from a trained practitioner.
