Description
In this workshop, an MSK yoga therapist will teach you breathing exercises to improve your posture and depth of respiration. You will learn how to strengthen the muscles you use for breathing, thus improving your endurance. These activities will help you understand the power of your breath with rest and activity. You will also explore how to build strength, improve coordination, and maintain independence in performing activities of daily life.
Audience
This class is open to people who have been treated for cancer and their caregivers.

You Will Need:
- A stable chair/seat. Good options are a dining chair or a folding chair, non-rolling seat.
- Enough space to reach your arms open to both sides
- A yoga mat, exercise mat, or a large towel
- Two blankets
- Two yoga blocks, or thick books
- Water to stay hydrated
- A computer with a high-speed Internet connection, or a tablet, such as an iPad, or a smartphone
- A webcam, speaker, and microphone. If you do not have a microphone and speaker, you can participate in the class by phone. You will receive the phone number once you register
- Google Chrome or Firefox as your internet browser
What to Wear:
- Comfortable clothing so you can move easily.

- Sit comfortably and move your arms freely
