Patient Experience Week: Day 4

Share

Patient Experience Week is a dedicated time to recognize the important role each of us has in creating experiences that center our patients and caregivers. This year, we celebrate and recognize how it takes MSK to deliver the very best patient experience. We invite staff, patients, families, and the community to join us in celebration of Patient Experience Week, with special events and ways to say thank you for their part in the patient experience. Thank you for joining us as we celebrate Patient Experience Week at MSK.

Music at the David H. Koch Center

  • Musician: Elizabeth Coleman; 2:30-4:30 (classical guitarist)
  • Bio: Elizabeth J. Coleman is a poet, attorney, classical guitarist, visual artist, and mindfulness teacher. She has been performing the guitar at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in both New York City and New Jersey for patients and families for many years, and has played as well at private events, in the chamber music series of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, and in hospice settings. Elizabeth performed at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall as part of the Queens Guitar Ensemble in their performance of Steven Reich’s Electric Counterpoint. In her youth, she studied the piano and cello. Elizabeth credits her parents for instilling in her a lifelong love of music of all kinds, and a commitment to devoting herself to practice and performance. A cancer survivor, Elizabeth played the guitar for her mother when she was ill; it was something she was able to do to comfort her and give her pleasure. Learn more about Elizabeth.
