Tai Chi for Beginners



In this class you will learn and practice Tai Chi, a classical form of exercise known for its smooth and gentle movements that strengthen muscles of the ankles, knees, hips and legs. Tai Chi for Beginners is easy to learn, enjoyable and provides many health benefits in a relatively short period of time, including reducing the fear and likelihood of falling, increase range of motion, and improve circulation.

Time: 3:30 pm – 4:30 pm


This class is open to all patients, survivors, and caregivers of Memorial Sloan Kettering. Tai Chi is a form of exercise that is both helpful and appropriate for older adults and those recovering from serious illness or surgery.

Class Fee
There is a fee of $120 to participate in this class series. The cost includes six-weeks of instruction from a certified Martial Arts instructor.
