Restorative Yoga for Sleep will help you prepare your mind and body to enjoy refreshing sleep while naturally releasing stress and reducing muscle tension. With the support of a certified yoga instructor, you will practice relaxing postures using props, breathing techniques, and guided meditation to put your body at ease. Starting a restorative yoga practice will put you on the path to cultivating resilience, calming the nervous system, and feeling restored during this challenging time.
All yoga classes at MSK are taught by certified instructors. They have special experience and training to teach yoga to people who have been diagnosed with cancer. Restorative yoga is a safe class for people experiencing post-treatment side-effects, including insomnia and cancer-related fatigue.
This class is open to people who have been treated for cancer and their caregivers.
